As a mother of two young children, I see every day how big and overwhelming the world can sometimes feel to little minds. Through my own journey, from working as a designer in the tech industry to exploring meditation and silent retreats, I discovered the power of slowing down, looking inward and recognising what we can control. Through my stories, I hope to help children discover that same sense of possibility: that they already have powerful tools within them to navigate challenges, grow in confidence and create change.

(a.k.a Rainie)

After a vibrant career spanning a decade at IBM, 15 years in hospitality, and 25 years in the construction industry. I thought I might finally slow down.

Instead, my grandchildren in Switzerland motivated me to become a children's author and publisher.

While I am incredibly proud to publish our debut children’s mindfulness book, Mumu with my breath I can... written and illustrated by Grace. My personal creative focus is on our upcoming series, Daisy’s Painting Adventures.

I was inspired by a story my late father-in-law, Tommy, wrote for his family in the 1970s but never published. It has been an absolute joy to bring his colour-soaked vision of magic portals and helpful, problem-solving adventures to life for a new generation. My Daisy series is dedicated to him.

From these sparks, Scribble & Read Studios was born—a family-run publishing house, born out of a desire to share beautiful stories that support little hearts and minds.

The learning curve has and, continues to be immense, the late nights (frustrating and hilarious) have been plentiful. But seeing these stories come to life fills me with "mother-hen" pride. I’m truly grateful to the numerous people who have helped me start this new chapter of my life. My excitement is palpable, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to our reading world.
