The Mumu Series

Story synopsis

Age range 2-5 years

Across everyday adventures, Mumu learns a simple tool she can carry with her wherever she goes: her breath. Using easy breathing techniques—slowly breathing in, then steadily breathing out—she creates a moment to pause before reacting. Whether she’s feeling nervous, frustrated, disappointed or unsure, these little pauses help Mumu understand what she’s feeling, make thoughtful choices, and discover that she already has something powerful within her.

Simple practices

Our stories bring simple mindfulness practices into everyday life, helping children learn to pause, breathe and reconnect with themselves through moments they can easily understand.

Lasting impact

By building these skills from an early age, we hope to nurture a generation of children who face life with greater confidence, kindness, empathy and emotional resilience.

Author’s note

Children don't need fixing—they need reminding that they already have everything they need inside them. Their breath is simply the way back to themselves.

– Grace Gadston

These books help bring simple mindfulness practices into homes, classrooms, and libraries around the world. If children learn from an early age that they can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves, they grow up believing they are capable, resilient, and kind. My hope is that these stories become small moments of connection between Parents and children, creating a generation that faces life's challenges with greater confidence, empathy, and emotional resilience.
